Bolting Up and Ready for the Fight Ahead

When I heard a confident Eric Weddle statement, “I feel like we’re the best team in the league” I was completely blown away. I don’t know about the rest of you but I was hoping we would finish with maybe a 9-7 record and sneaking into the playoffs but anticipating 5-11 record and getting a high draft pick for next year. After only one day of mini-camp I can see a spark, Rivers is excited and ready to learn the new scheme, Weddle is stepping up and instilling confidence in this team, he believes in the Chargers and is ready to go and Butler, not long ago expressed his desire to be a leader and vocal presence on the defense.

The Chargers are headed in the right direction, finally! Mike McCoy came into this locker room with 13 years of coaching experience, which he is not afraid to relinquish. With McCoy, we have a man with a clear vision in mind, we are going to get moving and moving fast and hard! Now, I’m excited about the upcoming season and can’t imagine what we have in store for the rest of the National Football League.

The leaders and veterans of this team are ready to step up. The youngsters will have to prove they want it just as bad and when we get our rookie draft class they’ll be learning from a group of guys who are already burning for greatness!!
