Eric Fisher Willing To Play Right Tackle. Chiefs With The First Pick?

Eric Fisher says that he is willing to play right tackle. That makes the number 1 draft pick a little more clearer for the time being. The Kansas City Chiefs have Branden Albert already at left tackle and he doesn’t want to move over to play right tackle. So, if the Chiefs want to select a tackle, they may have to move over to the right side.

“Oh yeah, I think I’m a very versatile player,” Fisher said on KCSP with Dave Parkins. “I played left tackle in college and hopefully I’ll get the opportunity to play it again, but I know there’s some great tackles in the league right now, and as a rookie if I had to come in and play right tackle I’d have no problem with that.”

Seems a little high to select a right tackle in the draft, but the Chiefs might make that move. We are a little over a week away from the draft and we still have no clue who will be the first selection in the draft.

Chargers fans are still hoping that the Chiefs pass on any tackle in the draft, so that one could possibly fall in our laps. We need to fix up that offensive line or we

Joeckel or Fisher will play RT their rookie season and move to LT their 2nd season. KC is clearly trying to trade Brandon Albert, but the only team that has expressed interest is Miami, and they obviously haven’t offered enough to make a trade happen.

i would hope Miami makes that move, just to get them out of the running to get a tackle.

The Chiefs did lower Albert’s trading value to only a 2nd round pick. Maybe that might be good enough because Miami has two 2nd rounders.

whats the problem for the albert trade is his franchise tag since its only for one year. I think miami would wait till they agree on an extension.

        • arnie

that sir is called CYA. and miami should get a more long term commitment for a trade.

  • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

Good move by Fisher, tipping the scales his way for that #1 pick money. Great idea

Remember when everyone was saying he would be our pick? And now everyone is sayin we would be lucky for Johnson. Have any of you seen a mock draft that was for than 50% accurate in years past?

    • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

that would be amazing to get it 50% right

      • Cgoodness13

That’s why I doubt these mocks, remember when their was a chance that Barkley was goin to declare for the draft last year an he wa suppose to beat out both luck and rg3 for the first pick? Now he’s suppose to be a late 1st round pick?

    • Sergio Quintero

What is accurate? that all team took exactly the player mocked then no, that 27 players of the 32 went in the first round yes, and quite frequently.

Someone is bucking to be the #1 pick, I guess! Did he also say he would mop the floors in the locker room on holidays? Joking, of course..
