2013 NFL Mock Draft: The San Diego Chargers Select…

It has been a minute since we had checked the FanSided NFL Mock Draft, but we are getting closer and closer to the draft and things are getting clearer so we should be brining these in for the next few weeks till draft time.

This time around in the FanSided Mock, all 3 left tackle options are off the board by the time the Cardinals select at pick number 7. Jonathan Cooper was selected at pick number 8. Who would the Chargers go with at pick 11?

11. San Diego Chargers – Chance Warmack, OG/Alabama
Guards are hot this year, and both Jonathan Cooper and Chance Warmack will go quickly after one another if things fall into place. Teams are realizing that you can load up on skill players, but winning starts with solid protection up front, and new head coach Mike McCoy is making Philip Rivers success his No. 1 priority. That starts with making sure he’s protected and Warmack is arguably the best guard in the country.

Chance Warmack. He is one of the best prospects available in the draft. It wouldn’t be a bad selection for the Bolts, especially with that scenario of all the tackles being taken. He would help fix that offensive line issue that we have been harping about all offseason.

What would you do with that selection?

The more and more I wait for this draft, the more and more I like the idea of taking Tavon Austin. The tackles will be gone. The guards are elite talent, but they are guards and we can find good ones later.

There are not a lot of times where you get the ability to pick up someone with Tavon Austin type of talent. He would be an immediate starter in the slot and would give Philip Rivers a quick option to get the ball out to.
