Oakland Raiders Closing In On Trade for Seattle Seahawks QB Matt Flynn

It seems that the Oakland Raiders are about to bring another NFC West backup quarterback to the AFC West. The Kansas City Chiefs started the trend by bringing over Alex Smith earlier in the season and now the Oakland Raiders are close to trading for Matt Flynn from the Seattle Seahawks.

The deal isn’t completed just yet, but it seems that they are getting close. If this is anything like the coaching hiring process, this could all just fall apart. Seen this “close” designation a little too often.

The next move would be the Raiders parting ways with veteran Carson Palmer. That also means that the Raiders wouldn’t need to look at quarterback with their first pick in the draft. Sorry Geno.

Already hearing comments of Matt Flynn being the new Rich Gannon from those Raider fans. Time will tell if that is the case. There is definitely movement going on around this division. In the last pair of seasons, all teams in the AFC West (except ours of course) will have new starting quarterbacks.

What do you think about the new quarterback that is about to join the division?
