Indianapolis Colts Sign NT Aubrayo Franklin

The Indianapolis Colts (and Jimmy Raye is probably giggling in his seat all over this while holding up the bird to his former bosses) have signed former San Diego Chargers NT Aubrayo Franklin. THIS SUCKS!

Franklin was a big part of the run defense last season. He clogged up blockers and allowed the middle linebackers, Takeo Spikes and Donald Butler, to make plays in the run game. Franklin was a big part of the defense.

Now we have to find someone new to clog the middle of the defense. Cam Thomas is going to get more playing time and could be the starter, but there needs to be some added depth there. Former Baltimore Ravens NT Ma’ake Kemoeatu has been mentioned as a possible replacement, but that signing remains to be seen.

We already released Antonio Garay and he could have taken some snaps in the middle. He wasn’t going to be a starter, but he was able to give some guys a breath here and there.

Another hole in the ground that needs to be filled. We like holes!

There anothor good Player the chargers could have brought back what where the chargers brass thinking by not resign Franklin we have anothor hole to fill.

    • http://www.facebook.com/lostkiara Stefanie Smith

We’re supposed to be optimistic as they permit our decent players to simply leave. Sorry, this is STUPID.

But hey, we are “rebuilding”. This is dumb.

      • Preston Niedert

Telesco think the draft will solve everthing. News flash this isn’t the colts there better be a dam good reason why players that are good are signing elsewhere does he think the rookies will make that much of a Impact what division are we in this isn’t the AFC south whare the division is up for grabs this the AFC west whare in cased he hadn’t notice the bronos are the team to beat. what happend to a new plan not follow a blue print that worked with one team that might not work with anothor.

        • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

The next 2 drafts will solve mostly everything, were going 2 year draft plan here wether we like it or not. It’s happening

          • Preston Niedert

Does rivers or gates have the time to sit through a rebuilding phase

          • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

They have had every year of thier NFL career to “Not Win Super Bowls” what’s one more year? Also think Gates will be gone after next season depending on production.

          • http://www.facebook.com/pete.spinning Pete Spinning

Word up to that, Mr. Blanks! I keep wondering why everyone keeps putting the pressure on Telesco to “rescue PR’s carrer”. Nobody loves PR more than I do… but, let’s be real. There were a ton of games that were either squandered by Norv (who Philip rallied players to keep “Norving us” for an extra year BTW). Or, where PR botched a snap right before kicking a game winning FG. Or, a ridiculous fumble, or an awful interception.. or both! Spanos & AJ are the most “responsible” for the decline of this team for keeping Norv around. But, Philip helped them do that, AND we would have made the playoffs that year, had he not botched the snap in KC. Every man is responsible for his own plight in life. I know it takes a team effort to miss the playoffs, but It’s not TT’s or MM’s fault. They aren’t the ones responsible for wasting PR’s career, simply because they are stuck holding the bag at the end of it. You could swing a dead cat and hit somebody in that organization who is, though… some are getting cut loose right in front of our eyes.

          • http://www.facebook.com/pete.spinning Pete Spinning

Quite honestly, no. And, that’s a darn shame = /
Dean & AJ, took a 14-2 team, that was inches from the superbowl.. fired the coach, and hired Norv… methodically swept all of the talent out of town… started drafting bust players.. failed to replace them, or signed scrap heap players to replace them.. slowly lost one more game each year.. took a “swing and a miss” chance in FA last year, so they wouldn’t get canned…and left the team with a losing record, with no salary cap, and ridiculous contract obligations. I can’t think of one single team that won a superbowl the following year (or two) under those circumstances.. or, didn’t clean house. The Niners came close.. the Broncos might, too. Both had better teams than we do when the new regime took over.

Wanna know the funny thing? I’m more optimistic that we have a shot at making the playoffs, than I was the last 2 years ; )

        • http://www.facebook.com/pete.spinning Pete Spinning

Nothing personal here, as I enjoy all viewpoints on this site… but, anyone who says we are like the Colts needs to have their head examined. We have far more talent left on the roster than they did. They went “suck for Luck” with a 2-14 record in 2011. But, that’s not even relevant.

Your comment “The AFC South is up for grabs”. has me confused… Two teams went to the playoffs in that division last year, each with (at least) 11 win records. However, the Texans are the clear leader there. That isn’t “up for grabs”.

Bonus fact – The Titans had a 9 win record the year before (which was better than ANY record in the AFC West that year, FYI). They lost a tie breaker to the Bengals for the wild-card spot. Were you suggesting that their division is weak, or that anybody could take it? To me, it looks like the Texans are locked in, and the division is competitive for the Wild Card spot. At least for these last two years, anyway.

          • Preston Niedert

I was saying anyone could take the division Pete and I believe the texans will keep a good stranglehold on that division.

          • http://www.facebook.com/pete.spinning Pete Spinning

So, Is the AFC South up for grabs, or do the Texans have a stronghold on it? I don’t get it. That’s saying two different things in the same sentence, dooder.

      • Preston Niedert

I’m alright with alot of the moves but the business side is what worries me not the letting go of players I used to think is was stupid to let go of players then I stated reading the blots from the blue website and I found out alot of what was being said or moves being made made sences onces they were broken down and talked about but acording to met return of the blanks who dosnt know jack squat about anything would realized that half the ppl on there are complaing about Franklin going to anothor team or there give reason why think the move happed.

  • Supercharger77

This was a dumb move letting him leave! I hope they have a plan..He would have been cheap.

    • boltingindiego

i doubt he would have been that cheap because he had a solid season last year.

    • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

i know right… didnt think e would cost that much to keep around.

      • http://www.facebook.com/pete.spinning Pete Spinning

Have the contract #’s been released yet? Just curious to see how much Indy paid. Hopefully, we couldn’t match.

  • Sergio Quintero

Repeating in my head: this is a marathon not a sprint, this is a marathon not a sprint. Not working still mad!!!

    • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

i swear. if we let Danario Alexander slip out of our hands, i may lose it.

      • http://www.facebook.com/lostkiara Stefanie Smith

I am with ya, Ernie. Trying to remain calm, but Mr. T is creating more holes to fill and making more problems. Sorry, but he is.

They are selling the idea that none of the Chargers were worth keeping. They are simply wrong about that.

        • JoseSD

Most of them weren’t Cason, Bigby, Spikes, Garay I really couldn’t care less. Franklin is probably the first that im sad to see go, but he’s 32 he would have needed to be replaced in the next year or two anyways

          • http://www.facebook.com/pete.spinning Pete Spinning

Yep. A little sad, but he was considered a risky signing last year. I cringed, and crossed my fingers when he went down with another knee injury in week ten = /

        • tubbs45

We have $9 mill in cap space left… $5 mill for draft picks leaving $4 mill for FA’s unless we renegotiate some existing contracts. What TT was handed is some very large contracts river, gates, Matthews, weddel… But I certainly think all of those guys would work with TT, for winning…

      • Preston Niedert

Why not the Chargers have let everyone else go what’s one to the list. I hope telesco realizes that the draft can’t fill in every hole that’s why you use free angecy to fill in holes or make upgrades on sortain spots.

        • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

          WOULD LOSE IT

          • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

If they let go of Denario I quit lol

          • Preston Niedert

Ernie do you like the way Tom telesco is runing thing. What do you like about it or dislike and acording to mr return of the blanks myself and Stefanie smith we are the only two ppl complaining about how the chargers are handleing things when more ppl are complaining about then he will ever know.

          • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

Honestly… Don’t know if there is anything better that can be done right now. There still are moves to be made, but we need to clear some of these guys off the books. He inherited a mess. We have a little wiggle room, but we will be in much better position in the free agent market next season. Much much better! We have to take the hit with some of these guys. We went nowhere the last 3 seasons with some of these players, time to see something new. I believe the team is better than 5 wins that people have been saying. Still think we will be able to compete after offseason is done. There is a lot more time to fill this roster. So far, I agree with a lot of the moves. I wonder about the Danario tender. So far, that is my biggest gripe and we still could have Danario back

        • Sergio Quintero

I’m trying to be objective, but the bad news keeps pouring in, and there is so little good news to offset it.

          • http://www.facebook.com/lostkiara Stefanie Smith

You’re right and it is risky. Doesn’t mean he will strike gold either, in the draft.

          • http://www.facebook.com/pete.spinning Pete Spinning

I hear that.. a little good news could do everyone some good right now. It’s crazy in here.. hahaha! The sky is falling!!!

      • Supercharger77

They may lose a fan if that happens! Just kidding.LOL. I would be mad though..DX is good. Fragile but good..

  • kris

NOOOOOOOOO!!!! why in the world would they not keep him?!?!?

  • RussinSactown

Raye is a capable guy. It’s a telling fact that the day we passed on him, Indy hired him to take over Telesco’s duties. That said he just came and picked off a solid player off the defense. Telesco needs to put some plans in place and stop hemorraging players.

    • http://www.facebook.com/lostkiara Stefanie Smith

Exactly. We don’t have many picks. Can’t solve it all through the draft and doesn’t mean they will even work out.

I think I will use your language on the Chargers site and tell them to “stop hemorrhaging players”.

      • Preston Niedert

But acording to telesco it will. I’m telling. This season will be a 5-10 or at best a 8-8 team

    • http://twitter.com/BReisinger86 Brandon Reisinger

What makes you so sure he doesn’t have a plan in place? I’m not happy that Franklin walked either but i’m sure Telesco has a plan in place. I’m sure it will make sense when its all said and done. Lets give our new GM some time and let the dust settle before we start making assumptions

      • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

He does, they are just upset.

      • RussinSactown

I see it this way. We started the year with glaring holes. O-line, secondary. Losing parts from those places I have little problem with because The O-line made Rivers play chuck and duck all season and Cason always smells like burnt toast by the 4th quarter. Franklin was a capable NT and not easy to find without burning a draft pick we can use somewhere else.

        • http://www.facebook.com/lostkiara Stefanie Smith

Exactly, Franklin was a good player and now we have to just burn one of our picks to replace him., He didn’t need to be replaced.

          • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

Don’t think we will draft one, unless star is there. Still think we sign a vet for this role. Probably a backup to cam. Cam’s time to shine

          • http://www.facebook.com/pete.spinning Pete Spinning

            I agree.. Cam… STEP UP!!!!

      • http://www.facebook.com/pete.spinning Pete Spinning

And, Pagano’s imput on these players are a part of that plan. I like what Pagano did last year. He, most likely, let TT know who he feels is worth retaining, or not. I’m certain that JP’s vision is to put an elite defense on the field asap!

      • http://www.facebook.com/lostkiara Stefanie Smith

This is not the Pope or the Grand Poobah of football. It’s our new GM and we are questioning some of his decisions and outcomes. Why does that make people uncomfortable?

        • JoseSD

It doesn’t make me uncomfortable personally. But I do think some of your comments are unwarranted “might as well have AJ”. I apologize if I offend you but it seems like with every article your hatred of Telesco grows. Hes getting rid of players that don’t fit and hurt our cap such as Garay, Bigby,, and Spikes. Not re-signing players that probably shouldn’t be like Cason,Barnes, Shaun Philips. free agency is just the appetizer the draft is the main feast. They’ll will continue to add after the draft and during the preseason as teams cut players as the offseason goes on. Let him fill the roster and play a few games before you call for AJ’s return

        • http://www.facebook.com/pete.spinning Pete Spinning

HA! Happy days references.. nice one.

  • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

Well if the goal is to suck the big one next year we are rapidly moving towards 4-5 win team. But who knows TT has his plan and seems like 50% of that plan is to get rid of AJ’s guys. I don’t blame him but now we could draft anyone and anybody at every pick lol. Star L. just got alot brighter for the NT position………

    • http://www.facebook.com/lostkiara Stefanie Smith

I do blame him if he can’t recognize the decent players from the overpriced terrible ones. Franklin is gone but Gaither still sits here.

      • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

I’m not sure how to type the sound your comment just made me make….but it goes something like Urrrrggggggucccccckkkkk. lol Seriously everyone has to be open minded here without knowing what TT’s plan is you can’t really call it one thing or another. Gaither is still here because of the $ and I’m sure they want to see if someone can light a fire under is ass or if he can except a backup role.

        • http://www.facebook.com/lostkiara Stefanie Smith

What is his reasoning for not getting Franklin re-signed? He had this long rationale for Gaither still being here—give him a clean slate, talk to him, etc. Well, did he talk to Franklin, to Vasquez, Barnes? As to Gaither—he thinks he could light a fire under his ass–like no one else has tried that?

We are creating more problems right now… Next he will let Alexander walk. That would be stupid, because we still have to play THIS year.

          • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

You still after all of that don’t know his plan, you are stating your thoughts on a plan you don’t know.

As for DAX if they don’t sign him Rivers might hold out or something lol, they freakin better sign him.

          • http://www.facebook.com/lostkiara Stefanie Smith

Yeah, these are my opinions as you have yours. That’s what these sites are for–so people can give opinions.

          • http://www.facebook.com/pete.spinning Pete Spinning

I don’t care if DA walks. I think the problem was Norv and his predictable play calling. I like our receiver corps, and think we would have been much better had V Brown not gotten hurt. Remember how excited we were last year? DA wasn’t even in the picture yet. Everyone keeps talking about bargain basement… These were last years bargain basement signngs… Bigby, Franklin, DA… They were auight. But, they all have injury problems… Did wee not learn from Sanders, Gaither, Bigby, & Royal? We are still stuck with two of those guys contracts. If DA stays for the money we assigned to him, that’s great! Also, I don’t want to see Big Ern lose his goddamn mind on here.. Lol. It won’t be purty.

          • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

I would hate losing him for the simple fact that we could have kept him for sure by offering 75k more… One more year to see if he could continue what he added

          • http://www.facebook.com/pete.spinning Pete Spinning

Agreed. I haven’t heard the Browns knocking on the door yet. What happened to that? They were busy in week one. It’s not like they are waiting for the market to fall. They know what we are offering him, right?

          • http://www.facebook.com/lostkiara Stefanie Smith

All have injury problems: Yeah, so does V Brown. It would be nice to have depth at positions like the 9ers have. We are in no position to be flippant about letting our few decent players walk and praying we hit it in the draft or what is left in the FA pool.

          • http://www.facebook.com/pete.spinning Pete Spinning

OK, the Niners are a fine example of a team… but, half of their 22 starters were taken in the first round.(Especially O-Line.. one of the youngest, and most dominant) Also, V-Brown is young, and coming off of a 2012 pre-season injury. He isn’t over 30, and been injured multiple times.. to the point where you could pick him up cheap.

        • http://www.facebook.com/lostkiara Stefanie Smith

As to Gaither being here because of the dollars–how is that a rationale? Guys who cost less and play better get cut? And exactly why can’t we just cut our losses with Gaither?

          • boltingindiego

the reason were not cutting gaither is because he would have a higher cap hit if released than if we keep him.

          • http://www.facebook.com/pete.spinning Pete Spinning

            Thank you!!!

          • JoseSD

6mil to stay. 6.5 mil plus his replacements salary if he’s cut. That’s why it’s rational

          • boltingindiego

great point about the replacement forgot to to include that on the salary hit.

      • JoseSD

It’s more expensive to cut gaither this year than to keep him around, by next year they would have already paid the majority if not all of the guaranteed money in his contract which I think is 12or 16 mil. He got paid 9 mil last year plus more than 6.5 this year so if he’s cut next off season there’s practically zero cap hit. The same goes for Clary

  • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

I just thought of something, will we get like 3-5 Comp picks next year if some of these dudes Ball Out on their new teams? Seriously spending Nada in FA and letting half the team go I can see where TT is going with this and it has 2014 written all over it!

    • http://www.facebook.com/lostkiara Stefanie Smith

It’s a dumb idea. Purposefully selling out the team to get more draft picks? They have to sell tickets this year. He should be fired if that is his approach. Get rid of everyone so we can get silly draft picks. Hopefully, we are not at the bottom of the barrel needing all this.

“Hemorrhaging players” is not a strategy or a plan.

      • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

It’s not dumb at all, if TT’s plan is a 2 Draft Overhaul he knows adding extra picks next year could fill the gaps he sets up this year. I honestly think this is at least part of his infamous “Plan” , you guys have to be alittle more open minded here.

        • http://www.facebook.com/lostkiara Stefanie Smith

Simply to go through the draft to do it, is dumb. What if you don’t need the draft because the position is already filled?

          • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

you sign vet’s that are left over in FA after the draft too a 1 year stop gap deal. That is what teams do Stef!

I question every comment you make from this point on, not knowing the basics of how too build a foundation of a winning team is all over your last comment.

          • http://www.facebook.com/lostkiara Stefanie Smith

You think that foregoing a season or two and hoping to get lucky in the draft is the right way to build the foundation for a winning team. Many NFL teams out there that would disagree. Plus you still have to sell seats and season tickets.

Your comment: if TT’s plan is a 2 Draft Overhaul he knows adding extra picks next year could fill the gaps he sets up this year.

Why do you think that intentionally setting up gaps this year, so he can get extra picks next year is a good decision? Creating holes on the team unnecessarily seems sort of silly.

          • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

That’s really simple, realistic fans won’t expect too much this year so nows the time to do it. You get stop gap vets to fill your left over gaps after the draft (that is why FA continues post draft, plus more cuts will be made freeing up more veterans) then after this year you cut the stop gaps and draft for those spots. We can be awesome again in 2014 just don’t expect the 2013 team to win over 7-8 games.

          • JoseSD

With ever day and every additional comment I question more and more if Stef actually knows much about football

          • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

Come on y’all, lets not bully around over here. We all are allowed our opinions. I appreciate the opinions stef and you all bring to the table. Stef has a ton of passion and it is easy to see.

          • JoseSD

I’m not questioning her passion or love for our bolts but when she says stuff like”we might as well have kept AJ and Norv” just cause its possible they might not make the playoffs next year. They might win moregames they might win less Telesco hasn’t even gotten started to build this team. Winning teams build their teams in the draft and supplement with free agents. The perennial losers spend big on free agents that don’t fit their team. AJ got a decade and two head coaches to win a title but she won’t give the new management two Weeks SMH. Heck I wouldn’t even judge the offseason moves til next year. Remember last year everyone was so happy to sign Meachem,Royal and Gaither. Can we at least see how the draft goes before everyone throws a hissy fit

          • NativeSanDiegan

He did sign one of the top young cb’s available for $5k/yr. Also a very good rb (see Pats articles/blogs for their reaction to losing him), a great blocking TE with good hands, & a solid guard who will fit our scheme; all without overpaying them. Of course not all of our draft picks will be all-pro’s, but hopefully won’t have majority of picks 1-3 as busts. Also need to cut TT some slack this yr. He’s working with new Personnel & Scouting
            Dept who are not
experienced with him. He will also bring in fa’s after draf so try to be patient. You don’t become champion

          • NativeSanDiegan

You don’t become champions by overpaying fa’s. You become cap-strapped (like we are thanks to AJ.)

    • Sergio Quintero

Nice attempt at a positive spin

      • http://www.facebook.com/pete.spinning Pete Spinning

        It was.. lol.

    • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

not sure how many big losses we would have in comparison to gains… so, right now we lost barnes, cason, vasquez and franklin and got back woodhead, dunlap, cox..

      • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

I think Pete Spinning made a great point about this, Pagano gave his input on which guys are worth keeping and which were expendable and ends up most of them are expendable lol. After the draft we will feel so much better about “The holes” and we can all breathe….

Next year when we get 2 or 3 comp picks, we will be like oh hell ya.

        • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

not too worried right now… just sitting and waiting.. for some reason this move didnt hurt me too much. i was pissed on Vasquez and probably more pissed where he went.

still got plenty of time to pick up some guys

          • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

Hey at least we found a popular topic to rant on today, good stuff. Hopefully tomorrow it’s some good news

        • http://www.facebook.com/pete.spinning Pete Spinning

Not that Pagano is happy to see Barnes or Franklin go.. But, I’m sure he has told him which players he can’t do without.. or wants to know who he intends to fill the holes with. I wouldn’t want to have a conversation with JP about why I let key pieces of his run-stuffing defense go, if I had no good ideas for replacements. I’m sure TT wouldn’t either.

    • Pels04

I can see him doing that too. Its a win win in my opinion. Getting more picks for next years draft and letting the young players on the team get a chance to show what they got. Thats how you see if the young players have what it takes to be starters. This year is as good as any to do that.

  • Rob Base

One more hole to fill! Colts have more cap room probably offered a better deal. Hum I wonder what next?

  • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

Andy Reid said today that Geno Smith is in the running for the #1 pick, He did not however say for his team lol. Man if someone trades up for Geno maybe that could push a LT up to us.

On the other hand Imagine KC drafts Smith and 4-5 games in Geno takes over? lol That would be just plain sad.

    • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

      Poor Alex.

  • Joel Garcia

I was never a fan of him or Barnes so I don’t really care if they left. It’s not like the defense took us to the playoffs or anything. So whatever happened last season let it go. Because it wasn’t good enough so everyone stop crying and move forward into next season and see what happens….

    • Guest

      Word, well said

    • Preston Niedert

So we as chargers fans let three years of not making the playoffs go. And if the chargers don’t make the playoffs in two more years do we sweep that under the rug as well. If that’s what the chargers brass is trying to sell then no wonder the seats are not filled.

      • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

are you like under 18? you really sound like it, these are business moves by business men not little whining babies.

        • http://www.facebook.com/lostkiara Stefanie Smith

Yeah, so were the moves made by AJ. Erroneous business moves are made every day. Are you under 18? -you seem pretty impressed with a “business move” by just an ordinary. “business man”… who can make plenty of mistakes. Sorry, some of us aren’t drinking the Telesco/McCoy Koolaid just yet.

          • Preston Niedert

Thank you Stefanie finaly some who get my point that more to this then meets the eye

          • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

You guys should go on a date, you both seem like you get your panties all wadded up every time something happens. Go to Boltsfromtheblue and read how normal educated fans look at it. There’s 0 people screaming all holy hell about this move, just you 2. The Panty Wadders

          • http://www.facebook.com/lostkiara Stefanie Smith

Actually Ernie wrote an entire article about this move. He didn’t like it either. Did you even read the comments? :Look right down this page.

“THIS SUCKS” in his article would imply that he is not particularly happy about Franklin signing with the Colts.. but maybe I am misinterpreting that.

          • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

Im not trying to be mean, have a good one

          • Preston Niedert

do you read most of what the bolts from the blu ppl say smartass they talk about good and bad of each move and how it affect the team. All I’m saying is one side of the business if being affected. Now in case you. Forgot the NFL is a business and how do teams make there money by selling tickets and merchindices.

          • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

Ya dude, they just don’t word it like a 12 year old. Too each their own brotha

          • Preston Niedert

I know I was trying show that the two sides of a bisuness depend on each other if one goes down the other as well I love the bolts from the blue I ready it every day to get a general idea of what ppl think about how the chargers are handling things or what moves are good or bad.

          • JoseSD

The NFL actually uses a shared revenue system. Every team gets a piece. And each year the league brings in billions off their deal with the TV stations. Every team turns a profit wether they’re 0-16 or 16-0

          • Preston Niedert

But they lose out out ppl spending money to go to games and buying stuff. I love the NFL it’s my passion and I love the chargers but that’s dosnt mean I’m gong to go easy on them or cut them a break cause I want to be the best of the best.

          • http://www.facebook.com/pete.spinning Pete Spinning

The Raiders sell more merch than any team in the NFL, despite their losing seasons of late. Their fans just don’t boycott when things are going bad. I bought a lot of merch last year.. even a toothbrush.

          • http://www.facebook.com/pete.spinning Pete Spinning

            Yeeeeepppp!!!!

          • JoseSD

LMAO, everyone is entitled to their own opinions and views but seriously these two flip out in the comments section on every article. We’re not losing big time players. I would have loved to have Franklin play here but its time for Cam to step up in year 3 or is it 4 I forget. We haven’t really lost anyone important and Vasquez isnt worth what he was paid. Philip put his best numbers up in 2010 to a bunch of scrubs, 17 different receivers. The big difference? He had McNeil, Dielman and Hardwick protecting him

          • Preston Niedert

Thank you Jose you see reason and I agree with alot you said.

        • Preston Niedert

So when fans arent watching the chargers games or at them then what. I’m pretty sure there are two sides of a business and the NFL is one of them. Im well aware of business side but when two side are not making money then both sides have a problem.

    • http://www.facebook.com/lostkiara Stefanie Smith

Since you were not a fan of Franklin or Barnes, we can now breathe a sigh of relief that they left.

    • boltingindiego

franklin was a key part of our run defense last year we gave up less than 100 yards a game last year.. Its now another hole we have to replace.

      • Preston Niedert

Can I ask this are you happy with the way Tom telesco is running things. Are there things you like as well as dislike.

        • boltingindiego

I don’t mind vazquez leaving he was an okay player not worth almost 6 mil he got from denver. I wished they tender denard for a higher draft pick and kept franklin if it was for a reasonable price. LIked the woodhead and cox signing. If were able to sign winston and mlb brandon jones or resign demarrio williams back it would make it a better off season.

          • Preston Niedert

That’s good in your opion are there more chargers fans unhappy with how things are being handle

      • Joel Garcia

And that’s why we kept Pagano. No one knew who most of our guys were until Pagano started running our defense. I would not be surprise if we are still a Top defense this year.

        • Preston Niedert

I believe the chargers defences will do fine it’s the secordry that we should worried about.

          • http://www.facebook.com/pete.spinning Pete Spinning

What? It’s not like our CB’s weren’t practically “Dead Last” in 2012. Just sayin’.

  • http://www.facebook.com/pete.spinning Pete Spinning

I was kinda holding off from buying a Cam-Smash tshirt, until I was sure he was gonna stick around.. Guess that solves that… Lmao.

  • kRazy8

It looks like the Chargers “regime” is not interested in winning this year…in fact it seems like they are just the opposite. Unless a real plan is unveiled during the draft this season is gonna suck balls!!….once again!

  • http://www.facebook.com/pete.spinning Pete Spinning

Busted the 100 comment mark..Nice!!! The natives are REALLY restless now.. I LOVE IT!!!

    • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

I was thinking the same thing… Really fired up about Aubrayo I guess… Of all things, Aubrayo? I mean he was good, but dang!

  • arnie

i did not want to see this. however, NEXT MAN UP!

    • Pels04

Him and Barnes. I was ok with the others on defense, but these two hurt.

      • arnie

        i agree.

  • http://www.facebook.com/lostkiara Stefanie Smith

Miami looking at Winston. Guess we can likely count him out of the equation.

    • Preston Niedert

Not quite it means winston finaly has offers from more than one team he could still sign with the chargers.
