Morning Dump: San Diego Chargers News Around the Web

I just want to see that guy on the right signed to the San Diego Chargers at some point today. That would be a good day in free agency for us. If we can sign a runningback also, that would be good. It was a long boring day for us in free agency though.

Plus I think Winston would provide leadership to the young guys. He has a good attitude.

      biggest thing… no more clary

      • tubbs45

I am far from a clary fan, but winston is not that much (so is better than none I guess) of an improvement, just ask KC. He was manufactured at the same rotating door company as clary!

        • http://www.facebook.com/lostkiara Stefanie Smith

I have been reading up about Winston.. He hasn’t stayed long wherever he goes. Something is up. They just can’t pay him a lot of money. Winston really doesn’t have much to show to warrant a big deal.

          • tubbs45

            The sign says it all!

          • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

            lol Oh nice…..good to know

          • tubbs45

with Dunlap and Wintson/Clary we would be like a liquor store in a riot!

  • tubbs45

Why is Sebastian Vollmer, T still on the market?

    • http://www.facebook.com/lostkiara Stefanie Smith

Yeah, unbelievable. Maybe wanting too much money? I don’t know.

      • tubbs45

How about Andre Smith, another beast OT not signed. Moore at gaurd is still sitting out there too. Come on TT, signing either would give us some serious flexibility in the Draft… just saying. Anyone know what Clarys contract guarantee is?

    • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

      i would love it!

  • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

Todays the day we make some crazy signings……..or maybe not. Yesterday was a big tease.

  • http://www.facebook.com/lostkiara Stefanie Smith

I am not making this up, but I read somewhere that Pollard was going to make a visit to SD. This could be total baloney, but it would be something.

    • tubbs45

He is coming to the west coast, specifically SD, then Bay area. Please Tommy that would be a killer Secondary!!!

      • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

Pollard to the niners would be GAY, kind of a move you would make on Madden if 1 certain guy gave you hell so you just went and got him.

        • tubbs45

yeah and with their 14 friggin picks, juggernaut.

      • RussinSactown

If Pollard gets signed here that almost makes the middle of the field a no fly zone. Welker would love to see Pollard two times a year.

        • tubbs45

no shit!!! that would be nice, unless we renegotiate some contracts I dont see it happening, unfortunately. Maybe he is just out here scouting LeBrons Wedding

          • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

hahahahaha… that has to be it!

    • tubbs45

can’t be sure if he is talking with the boltz, but a buddy of mine got his autograph at the BMI airport on their way to SD

  • http://www.facebook.com/lostkiara Stefanie Smith

Some of the real good players that are going for a song (relatively speaking) aren’t interested in the Chargers, as we are not perceived as contenders, i.e like Reed, Welker, etc. This is just the reality of it and it is going to have to be okay for now. Still gets me angry.

    • tubbs45

AJ era will live on for a few years until TT can clean up that no sock, loafer wearing, crusty, bastard’s bad deals and personal projects (English, Gaither, Mechum, Clary)

  • http://www.facebook.com/lostkiara Stefanie Smith

It’s really odd and sort of sad that these guys equate respect and caring with how much they get paid. Cox said he felt we really “valued him as a person”. Flacco equates his big bomb of a contract with “respect”. VJax equated his big deal with words like “they really wanted me around”. It’s sort of sad that these guys equate respect and value with how big of a contract they get. Welker made similar comments.

Guess they would see somebody like Mother Theresa as a big loser.

    • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

These giant contracts are terrible, they should set a max at each position. So coming in you know what you will be making and where your max would be if you reach the top. Having 1 dude make 1/6 of your cap on a team of 53 guys is insane in capped years. It would be ok to do that if the NFL was uncapped but it’s not and might cost the super bowl champs alot next year.

  • Pels04

Chargers agree to terms with woodhead. I like that move

  • tubbs45

Danny Woodhead inking a deal with the Bolts

  • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

My fav. Ansah quote of the day

Ansah’s stock has been soaring since the college football season ended, thus making him a first-round lock. The Steelers were reportedly “drooling” over the prospect of him playing as a 3-4 linebacker on their defense, so this pick will happen if Ansah is still on the board.

If the freakin Steelers are drooling to have Ansah play OLB in a 3-4 we should not question if he can play 3-4. Ansah/New Guy/Butler/Ingram Linebacking group would be deadly. That’s even without knowing the 4th guy lol

  • http://www.facebook.com/lostkiara Stefanie Smith

You are not going to believe this. NFL.com reporting that Chargers signed Danny Woodhead. Okay. I am late with that one and didn’t look down at the other posts.
