Baltimore Ravens SS Bernard Pollard Gets His Walking Papers

The monster that is lurking around and swallowing up NFL corners and safeties onto the unemployment line struck again this morning. The Baltimore Ravens released S Bernard “Bone Crusher” Pollard.

Pollard is a New England Patriots killer. For some reason, he seems to knock out their players left and right. Maybe that is why they would try and sign him.

Pollard has his Super Bowl ring and now has his walking papers. I don’t know if there is anyone left on that Baltimore Ravens team except for Joe Flacco. That’s what happens when the quarterbacks eats up all that room on the salary cap. So far they have lost Pollard, Dannell Ellerbe, Anquan Boldin, Paul Kruger and Ray Lewis…. Ed Reed could be next.

Bernard Pollard is still only 28 years old and will get a lot of attention in the free agent market. I am sure that those Kansas City Chiefs fans would love to bring him back to town. With Andy Reid over there, I am sure that they will try to make it happen somehow.

Would he be a fit in San Diego? You bet your bottom dollar! But Pollard will likely demand a nice sized contract somewhere and we don’t get into those bidding wars.

Youre probably right but damn that would be sweet

how do you think baltimore fans feel about next year?

      • Rob Base

I’m sure the fans are spent right about now. But Flaco got paid that’s what matters right. Super Bowl to bust!

      • JoseSD

Flacco isn’t worth 120 million that contract is killing his team. They shouldn’t have even made it past the divisional round if Rahim Moore was a competent safety

that contract is death!!! death! but they did get that championship and i still am jealous

          • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

That contract is costing them their team, sign him up!

I beg to differ on Flacco’s contract. People seem to forget how well Ozzie has kept the Ravens stocked over the years via the draft farm system they seem to have a lock on. The Ravens and Steelers allow good veteran players to leave all the time yet someone always steps up in replacement. Telesco seems to be of that same nature. GOBOLTS

Chargers need someone in the back field like this lurking..We now have manning in the division and a potential problem with Alex Smith. He will make the chiefs better for sure. Pair this demon with Weddle and watch out!

man heres hoping, but I think it is more wishful than reality

    • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

a little matt elam in the second round of the draft would be nice

      • Brandon Rios

Matt Elam is going to be off the board when the chargers select in the 2nd round, he’s too good and many teams need help at that position.

and i will be sad… but it is true

would LOVE this signing. but not realistic at all.

i know right… but would be awesome

  • Sergio Quintero

Pollard would bring an attitude that is lacking, that is worth more than his numbers, some WR’s having crocodile arms is a welcome sight.

  • Preston Niedert

What is the SS market looking like. If there’s a chance sign him and ask JJ to help him go to San Diego.

Son-of-a-Bitch. Now Welker is a Donkey… We need Pollard to smack the shit out of Welker running over the middle. santa maria, I need a beer….
