San Diego Chargers Released SS Atari Bigby

The San Diego Chargers have made another move to prep for free agency by releasing SS Atari Bigby.

The Univsersity of Jah Rastafari will never be the same!

Brandon Taylor is coming back from an ACL tear and the only other player that would be able to fill that role is Corey Lynch, but he is a unrestricted free agent. I wonder what could be in the works.

Former Arizona Cardinals SS Adrian Wilson was released today also. I wonder what Ken Whisenhunt thinks about that. Or maybe this means that Quentin Jammer can scoot on over to play some safety.

There will be another new starting strong safety for the Chargers. Atari Bigby is gone. Bob Sanders was the starter before that and he is gone. Will we have another one year rental at the position?

That’s too bad. He was good for a few funny quotes.

  • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

Dude, I called it yesterday lol and accidently guessed Bigby……..

“TheReturnOfMrBlanks • 20 hours ago I’m predicting 2 Charger moves tomorrow, making us nice and happy going into the weekend. As far as team leader you would think Weddle would be the man for the job. Bigby cut tomorrow?

    • tbell11

Ok then who do you have the Chargers drafting in rounds 1-3 and signing via FA Mr. off-season guru lol. I’m joking, but i guess good job.

  • Sergio Quintero

The other rumored cuts that could happen: Gaither, Clary, Garay, Royal, McClain, English, McMichael, Baxter, Whitehurst.
Would you guys miss any of them??

    • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

      nope.. wouldnt miss em

    • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

To bad we don’t have 15 draft picks lol. If they evaluated each of those guys and determined they could do better and replace them all then “Yes please” I think we have a couple years of AJ dead weight needed to be addressed and cut.

  • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

I think that new rule that Gm’s can start negotiating and having verbal agreement’s tomorrow afternoon is going to open the flood gates of cuts today/saturday. Could be some good times.

Jah man! Is he high in that photo?

  • arnie

There it is, Jammer for SS…

    • Nate Lew

I think the name of the game so far is going young.

      • arnie

i agree, but i can hope.

  • dadude

Thank god….. He was horrible!!! Find one in the draft, John Boyett. From Oregon would be a perfect fit. Hes coming off an injury but would be a great back half draft pick up.

hahahaha… he fell for the play action pass EVERY TIME!!

  • Joel Garcia

Coach Whisenhunt is about to call up Adrian Wilson !

  • GiLLy

Hopefully they resign Corey Lynch. He played pretty good the last 5 games of the season.

i would love it… corey lynch would be a good player to bring back
