San Diego Chargers reps were on hand at the Wisconsin Badgers Pro Day today. I wonder which guys they had on their radar?

Maybe a nice look at RB Montee Ball to see him improve on his 40-yard dash time from the NFL Combine. Ball improved his 40-time from 4.66-seconds to 4.48-seconds. Ball will be one of the players I keep my eyes on during the second day of the draft. If he is available in the 3rd round when our turn comes around, we have to jump all over that.
Ball can challenge Ryan for some carries in the backfield. They could split some carries and when Ryan pulls up with a bad hammy, then Ball can swoop in on the starting running back position. Keep some good competition at the position.
There are also a couple of notable offensive linemen that the Chargers could have been scouting. Travis Frederick is a 6-foot-4 center/guard that could be used in the middle of the line. He is projected to be drafted on the second day as well.
Also, OT Ricky Wagner is someone the Chargers could use to challenge Jeromey Clary at right tackle. Both Frederick and Wagner did opt to stand by their combine numbers instead of working out on their Pro Day. They probably were enjoying a big bucket of chicken.
So the Chargers probably weren’t there to watch them! Looks like they wanted to see Ball run.
