It is the last day for teams to use the franchise tag on players, so we should hear some things about a few players being let free to test free agency or if they have been slapped with a franchise tag. The Miami Dolphins used their franchise tag today on DT Randy Starks.

That leaves free agents LT Jake Long, WR Brian Hartline and CB Sean Smith available in the open market. The San Diego Chargers could use all 3 of those players.

Jake Long would be an awesome pickup for the Chargers, but his price tag may be a little too rich for our blood. Sean Smith, probably too rich for our blood. Brian Hartline, mmmaybe? Probably too rich for our blood still. Where the heck does all our money go?! GAITHER!!! I hate you AJ!

Anyway, news should be coming down the pipe on what teams decide to do with their free agents. Let’s see if the Kansas City Chiefs use their franchise tag on Dwayne Bowe or Branden Albert.
