Morning Dump: San Diego Chargers News Around the Web

Antonio Garay barely saw action last season, but he has a ton of pictures in the library. I guess having crazy hair will catch people’s eye. Let’s see what happens with the veteran after he gets cut, but I am sure some other team will want to give him some playing time.

BW: They might have to add to that a bit. I don’t think the Chargers want to give a bunch of picks for Fisher where [Lane] Johnson may end up being just as good. Also, they wouldn’t want to help the Raiders improve.

In a move to save salary cap space, the San Diego Chargers are expected to release defensive tackle Antonio Garay, according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport. Garay has been with the Chargers for four seasons, but is likely to be released due to his salary. Garay was scheduled to make $3.5 million plus a $1.5 million roster bonus in 2013.
