Arizona Cardinals Release CB William Gay

William Gay struggled in coverage while with the Arizona Cardinals after signing a deal with them. He was released by the Cardinals today to provide the team more cap relief.

Gay wouldn’t be a player that I would target in free agency to be a starter on the San Diego Chargers, but I wouldn’t mind having him on the team for depth. Shareece Wright might be a starter next season and he keeps finding his way to the sideline because of injuries. I wouldn’t mind having someone with experience back there to be insurance.

Gay also has worked with Ken Whisenhunt in Arizona and Pittsburgh. Could they renew their connection?

For the record I’m tired of hearing just because this guy or that guy used to know or worked with the guy. He should come to the team just because he knew that guy or has work well with the guy in the past. Also anothor thing I’m sick of teams drafting a LT or player for that matter and moving them over to RT or OG why not draft a player of need not want. What about teams that might really need the player for LT or sortain postion. There just SOL right.

that is not the only reason people should come to the team, but believe that knowing someone can help influence people to come over to a team.

if we drafted Bacari Rambo and had William gay on the same side you could say you have Gay Rambo covering half the field lol
