Kansas City Chiefs Will Trade 2nd Round Pick For Alex Smith

The Kansas City Chiefs have “officially” made a trade for San Francsico 49ers quarterback Alex Smith. The Chiefs are giving up a 2nd round pick this year and a 2nd round pick next season in order to obtain Smith, per Tim Kawakami. The trade won’t be officially official until March.

That is a lot of loot in order to get a quarterback that needs to be schemed around. I am all for this trade!!!

Wouldn’t the Philadelphia Eagles give up Nick Foles for that price tag? The Washington Redskins give up Kirk Cousins for that loot? There has to be better potential out there for the Kansas City Chiefs, but they chose to go with Alex Smith. They could have even drafted a better quarterback with that 2nd round pick!

Thank you Kansas City for throwing draft picks away. Keep doing your thing!
