AJ Smith Expected To Join The Washington Redskins

Former San Diego Chargers GM AJ Smith looks like he will be joining the Washington Redskins as an adviser/consultant, per Kevin Acee. He was seen over the weekend with Redskins head coach Mike Shannahan during the combine scouting the talent.

I wonder if AJ Smith would have pulled the trigger in getting RGIII last season? I wonder if he would have chose Alfred Morris?

AJ had his faults during his tenure with the Chargers, but he also had a ton of success here. It is what it is. Norv is in Cleveland, AJ is in Washington and we have the two young guns running the show.

He may have gone for RGIII, but when it came time for the next contract, RG3 would be gone.

At least Washington was smart enough to only put him on as a consultant. Not a GM.

DC isn’t far enough away for me. Can he please go to the Canadian league to consult? Preferably the Northern regions? Thanks, big guy ; )
