Oklahoma LT Lane Johnson can fly for a big man. He ran his 40 in 4.75 seconds. That is cooking for a big dude and he lived up to the hype. Terron Armstrong did steal the show though for the offensive lineman 40.

Johnson has been landing on a lot of mock drafts with the San Diego Chargers. He is a freak athlete for his size and people were interested in seeing how he would perform today. He did work and is working his way up the draft.

Johnson would immediately be the starting left tackle for the San Diego Chargers. He might actually be starting next to a rookie left guard. That is how bad our offensive line was last year.

Can you imagine him in the open field at full speed throwing a block? That might be assault.

Oh, I can… and I can’t wait to see him lay someone out!

two things jump to mind. one in a zone blocking scheme, or when the guard pulls. advantage. the other, speed rushers will not be a factor.

listen, assault? we might see a player crap their pants on the field for the very first time! lol

surely you havent forgotten Cromo swinging his purse at dudes in the open field! that wasnt a grass stain on those pants!

        hahahaha

28 on the bench, 4.72 dash, and just a pup, sky is the limit on this guy, and he’s already a good to very good pass blocker. Feeling better about him at pick 11, still would prefer Joeckel & Fisher, but this performance has secured that Johnson gets picked no latter than pick 20.

I don’t care what his bench or 40 time is really, I want to see how strong his squat is. That’s what matter for a lineman

Unless we trade up he will be gone. :-( I’m loving the guys coming out of the combine, it’s like Christmas!

  • Joey Nicks

I said it before, on a screen that is like getting hit by a SEMI and then while your down having it do a drift on your face!

Pretty much like our ship has come in. The OL rookies at the Combine are superb. Take your pick, Telesco, but pick a few and fix River’s protection problem. Don’t say you’ll try, just get it done. No excuses because there are a pile of good, athletic OL players out there.

    Eric Fisher ran a 5.05 40

Chargers met with Johnson. This would show commitment to Rivers. Get it done, Telesco. Please. There are good ones out there this year.

I’d love to see this just so he can de-cleat some cornerback on a screen.
