Can you run a 4.65 second 40-yard dash? The shame…
Arkansas-Pine Bluff OL Terron Armstead opened up some eyes this morning at the NFL combine by running a 4.65 second 40. That is unheard of from a 306 pound man. The fastest time for an offensive lineman before Armstead was 4.84 by Allan Barbre. Armstead blew it away.
Armstead will have a few people going over his tape again after his performance at the combine. His competition was weak, but his athleticism can’t be denied. I know there are a few teams out there that need an offensive tackle or two.
Ahem… San Diego Chargers!
Does it really matter how fast an o-lineman runs? Nope. Nobody knows what it means, but it’s provocative. It gets the people going.
