300+Pound OL Terry Armstead Runs Faster Than You Or Me

Can you run a 4.65 second 40-yard dash? The shame…

Arkansas-Pine Bluff OL Terron Armstead opened up some eyes this morning at the NFL combine by running a 4.65 second 40. That is unheard of from a 306 pound man. The fastest time for an offensive lineman before Armstead was 4.84 by Allan Barbre. Armstead blew it away.

Armstead will have a few people going over his tape again after his performance at the combine. His competition was weak, but his athleticism can’t be denied. I know there are a few teams out there that need an offensive tackle or two.

Ahem… San Diego Chargers!

Does it really matter how fast an o-lineman runs? Nope. Nobody knows what it means, but it’s provocative. It gets the people going.

Check out Luke Marquardt. Outrageous. No way anyone would get to PR with this guy.

The dude just looks like a monster

“When I asked for a body-type comparison, I was given two names: Ivan Drago from Rocky IV and former professional wrestler Sid Vicious.”

Holy crap. Defensive ends might take one look at this guy and just give up on rushing the passer.

Well, Marquardt didn’t participate in the drills. Wonder how that will figure in to it. But there are other great OL guys out there. Omg, they need to get some of these guys for Rivers.

Call it fate or I don’t know what to call it. This is an OL combine. Great players or the makings of great OL. We will definitely be able to get some help for Rivers. Just pray they are not busts when they get to the NFL. Schwenke and Lane Johnson look promising.

Yes agree with 100 percent …Schwenke would be nice in the 2nd or 3rd if he makes it

They were talking about the dash for the OL. It really doesn’t mean what it would mean for another player, but it does show their athleticism… and this OL crew is an athletic bunch.
