Who would you like the San Diego Chargers to take with the 11th pick?

I am going to make this short and simple.  Below you will find a poll with draftees that our Chargers could take with the 11th overall pick in the 2013 NFL draft.

Please vote and spread the word to your other Charger friends.  I am very interested to see what the fans have to say on this one.  I will revisit this topic again post-scouting combine and see how much it has changed, if at all.

I would like the Chargers to get OT Eric Fisher, but realistically it should be OT Lane Johnson.

  • RussinSactown

Johnson, Warmack, Millner or Cooper. Only if we can’t get Sandcastle! That dude’s a monster!

  • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

McCoy said on 1090 they are going to take the BPA. I kinda liking Vaccoro or Jordan.

    • http://twitter.com/BoogaP #TheBoltFather

Although April is known as “Liar’s month” in the NFL, I’m not buying a darn word any head coach, GM, or front office person is saying in regards to the draft.
That being said, I do like both players. Jordan more than Vaccaro.

      • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

Same here man, Imagine Jordan taking Phillips spot. He would have to gain a few pounds though. Dude is so fast he can cover WR’s in one and one coverage,,,,I love that.

    • lblocz

vaccaro would be available late 1st early 2nd. No way we should get him at 11. Jordan is a high risk at 11 plus we drafted olb 1st round last year.

      • TheReturnOfMrBlanks

Uh he most certainly wont be available in the 2nd round, if we could get Elam in the 2nd that would be siiiick!

        • http://boltbeat.com/ Ernie Padaon

ELAM! ELAM! ELAM! I am so on the Elam train!

        • Guest

who do you see taking him i see only 2 teams late in the 1st 49ers or pats. unless some early 2nd trades up 4 him. I do like elam in the 2nd though.

In a prefect world we get Eric Fisher…. sadly he rose to high out of our reach so i’d rather see us trade down and take JBanks and grab warmack in the second

    • http://twitter.com/BoogaP #TheBoltFather

Warmack, most likely, goes before we even pick at 11. If that doesn’t happen, he will certainly not last until the second round. He won’t make it past St. Louis’ second pick in the first round at 23. That’s at the latest.
Mike Mayock claims Warmack is the best player in the draft.

Based on that list (in this order) Joeckel, Fischer, Warmack, Milliner, or trade down for more picks and pick up Lane Johnson or Cooper.

  • Sergio Quintero

Priority 1 of the offseason get Philip comfortable in the pocket, best case scenario sign Jermon Bushrod as OLT and Andy Levitre as LG, then you either take Warmack, Cooper, Miliner or Jarvis Jones at pick 11, 2 of those 4 guys will be probably be there, you can easily take the classic BPA without the massive Left tackle hole over your head.

If the chargers are inactive en free agency, then Lane Johnson is the most probable pick, can’t enter the season without a OLT, if they can’t sign one in free agency the first pick is a Left Tackle its that simple.

    • http://twitter.com/BoogaP #TheBoltFather

If we get Levitre in free agency, not so sure we will, despite ties to new O-line coach, and re-sign Vasquez, no need to go guard in draft. Troutman waiting in the wings. He was projected as 3rd rounder. Will be solid back up and, perhaps, even a future starter.
Bushrod is not as good as advertised. Not a bad player but he gets a lot of help on his side.
Nothing simple about fixing a team with a lot of holes. I do agree that it should be O-line though.

      • Sergio Quintero

For OLT: it can be Bushrod, Brandon Albert, William Beatty or Sam Baker. Choose one I’m fine with any of the above. In terms of OG, I don’t think Vazquez is a lock to be back, if the chargers are only going to sign one guard then I’ll take Levitre, if not him then I would sign Vazquez.

        • http://twitter.com/BoogaP #TheBoltFather

Baker is even worse than Bushrod. I really like Albert though.

  • Preston Niedert

I’m not sold on lane johnson but eric fisher I think we can trade up and get him use free agnecy wisely and you can give up a second or third round pick the chargers should talk to oakland about tradeing spots they have many needs and jumping ahead of the eagales or arizona would be the smart move.

    • http://twitter.com/BoogaP #TheBoltFather

I think you and I are the only ones that have doubts about Johnson. I’m not saying he won’t be great, but I just have some concerns about a guy that only played two years at the position. He is ultra athletic and will have an AMAZING combine. He wasn’t recruited out of high school and went to a very small college.
Again, not hating on the guy but I’m with you. A lil scary to use a first round pick on, imo.
I’m not a fan of trading up. Too many holes.
      Thanks a lot Preston!

  • Cgoodness13

I was being realistic when I voted, I think fisher will be gone by the time it’s our pick, and troutman and Vasquez are a good guard combo, so trade down around to the 15th pick and get johnson

  • Rob Base

Dear lord sweet baby Jesus please have the Bolts draft Fisher. Thank you very much!

  • Nolan

I think if we can get andy levitre then go left tackle Lane Johnson but if not get the best guy in the draft and get CHANCE WARMACK!!!!!!!!

  • Nolan

If we can get andy levitre then go for Lane Johnson and if we dont get him then draft the best player in the draft and get CHANCE WARMACK!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Joel Garcia

If the chargers would be serious in getting Jake Long then they should trade back and get more picks. I think it would help in getting a jump start instead of risking in drafting a Tackle that you really don’t know if he could adapt to the NFL speed. Remember we play Denver a Top defense that can rush the QB and Mike McCoy knows that.

  • BlueBoltFan

Judging from Telesco’s answers there’s a good chance he’d pick Warmack if Fisher and Joeckel are unavailable. I picked Fisher but Milliner or Warmack would be sick. I like Lane Johnson too, so far, but I want to see more of him.

  • Nick in PB

I vote for Fischer if he’s available… no brainer. But being the number 2 rated LT, we would be lucky for him to fall that far.

  • http://www.facebook.com/lostkiara Stefanie Smith

Marquadt. Not on the list, but the guy is a beast. Huge dude.

  • miketuck

One thing that could really help the Chargers is if the Oline Coach drags Andy Levitre to the Chargers. I don’t know how they got along but getting a new Oline coach has it’s benefits in drawing young free agents. If he was ranked 9th overall I think all the Charger fans would agree!!!

  • SDchargers3221

I wanna CB in 2nd round
