Reasons Why The San Diego Chargers Could Keep Jared Gaither

Not saying that the San Diego Chargers WILL keep Jared Gaither or not even saying that they SHOULD keep Jared Gaither, but there definitely are reasons why the San Diego Chargers COULD keep Jared Gaither.

WHY would we keep the Big Lazy around? He has been a cancer to the team and to the locker room. He is just going to fake another injury anyway.

We have to pay the big man his contract no matter if he is sitting on the streets or sitting in someone else’s locker room or sitting in our locker room. If he is going to make that money, he might as well do it on our roster.

What if he acts a fool again? SUSPENSION! We can suspend our own players right? Conduct detrimental to the team? Didn’t the San Francisco 49ers suspend Brandon Jacobs for some sort of the same deal last season?

…but what if he actually starts playing?

Now that is the question we should be asking. Bryant McKinnie of the Baltimore Ravens had his Big Lazy moments last season. He came into camp out of shape and had injuries galore, but when the Ravens needed him, he came up big during the Super Bowl run.

We can’t trust Jared to be the starter. Not right now. We need to bring someone in that can be trusted and then Gaither would be used if needed. When Jared Gaither actually plays, he is awesome. He just has to play!

It just burns me to waste a roster spot on this sorry excuse for a player. I hope he reads this comment and his carpal tunnel acts up.

Can’t wait to see what T & M make of tthe player evaluations.

When gaither isn’t playing in games then what? He is a bad influences on the players and in the locker room. No way he should be kept around if he is then he should be used as depth not a starter.

  • Cgoodness13

Our new strength and conditioning coach is rumored to be a hard ass as well as out new o line coach…..so keep him….

  • ECAVILLE/Ace of Spades

Jared Gaither has no chance against this coaching staff. No nonsense crew. Keep him and make him earn his paycheck or ship him out on suspension for not compliance.

  • Nick in PB

He has to earn his paycheck, Eliseo said it right. If he does that, he can stay. If he doesn’t, get rid of him. We have to see what he brings in off-season preparation and mini-camps. See if his head is on straight. Jeeez, this man has to have even a little pride!
