San Diego Chargers veteran LB Takeo Spikes plans on playing next season. Spikes went onto XTRA Sports 1360 this morning and said “I will be playing this year.”

Now, will he be playing in blue and yellow? Will he still be wearing the San Diego Chargers colors?

There has been a lot of rumors flying about Takeo being on the chopping block this offseason. The team may be looking to shed some cap space and his name comes up often.

Spikes is a leader in the locker room and on the field. He has been voted the defensive team captain every season he has been on the team and he has a lot of youngsters on the team that look up to him.

If he is back one more year with the Bolts, hopefully we can get him to the playoffs for the first time in his career.
