San Diego Chargers Dr. David Chao Cleared By Panel To Continue As Team Doctor

Just recently, the NFL Players Association had requested the review of San Diego Chargers Team Doctor, Dr. David Chao. The review has been completed and he has been totally cleared to continue in his current role.

During Super Bowl week, DeMaurice Smith had said, “It seems to me that the players of the National Football League deserve to have a doctor who’s not been found liable of malpractice” (UT San Diego).

It looks like DeMaurice Smith’s request didn’t work. Dr. Chao is still clear to continue as team doctor with the San Diego Chargers.

Does he work for free? Is he part of a Groupon coupon? Why must we keep this doc when all this stuff is hovering around him?

HAHAHAHA. Groupon wouldnt take him so they had to use living social…

Keeping this guy is a tragedy. Why does the ownership continue to support a Doctor with so many questions surrounding him? You would think you would want the best doctor possible protecting your investments (players). Chao must have some serious dirt on Spanos for them to keep him around…

As i understand it, Chao pays the Spanos family to be team doctor.

This is embarrassing. Fighting to keep a guy that has faced getting his license revoked.. multiple malpractice claims, etc.

  • Kenny Weeks

Who do we write as fans to get rid of this guy? I’m pretty sure anyone that has had an attempt on revoking his license isn’t fit to practice in the nfl.

The players stood up for Dr. Chao, so its fine.

Bottom line, lets see how long, Telesco an McCoy tolerate this, when the “injury bug” shows up. Or when players are cleared to play, only to get injured again after 2 plays. Malpractice is a nice word for, you screwed up…
