Sadly, the Matt Cassel era in Kansas City could be coming to an end. New head coach Andy Reid said that it is too early to make decisions on Cassel right now.

Too early? Is that code for:

Shhhhh… Matt is sitting right there. We have to give him a little bit of hope coming into the season. You saw how he has played. HE SUCKS BUTT! He holds onto the ball forever and he likes to target Eric Weddle more than he likes to hit his own receivers.

Well dang Andy! Don’t be so harsh on him. Chargers fans love him as your starting quarterback. Stick with it Andy! Stick with it!!!!

Yeah… cuz when Chip Kelly cans Vick, he probably wants to bring him to KC… lol!

      that or Kevin Kolb…..

Well.. now Vick has been retained. I missed that one by a mile, didn’t I Arnie? I thought Vick was outta there for sure. Still trying to figure out if Kolb is awful, or if AZ’s o-line was awful, or both. Not sure he is much of an upgrade from Cassel.

        • arnie

Not really. it was logical to say that Vick was gone. The thing was, Vick did something uncharacteristic. He accepted the circumstances of not earning his money, swallowed his pride, an agreed to restructure his contract.
It’s like the situation with 49ers. Alex Smith should follow the Vick’s lead. Alex, is not as good as he thinks he is, he should accept it. restructure and stay with a winning franchise.

I would stay with SF too if I were him. But, he probably wants to start. However, having a mobile QB ahead of you DOES give you good odds that he might go down with an injury, though. Tough call.

True pete. but the tough call isn’t on the organization. they want him to stay. they have given him every opportunity to lead this team. And he’s been replaced. frank gore almost got dismissed, but he swallowed his pride, restructured his deal, and now look at him.
