Houston Texans JJ Watt Wins Defensive POY

Houston Texans stud defensive end JJ Watt won the Defensive Player of the Year award today. He is a stud and I remember when he came out of college I was hoping that the Chargers were going to get a shot at drafting him. He was taken way before we had a shot and instead, we drafted defensive end Corey Liuget. Didn’t turn out too bad for us.

Liuget has stepped his game up last season and is a big part of the defensive success of the San Diego Chargers last season. We look forward to the things he can do in the next couple of seasons.

Anyway, congrats go out to JJ Watt for his defensive effort this season.

We didn’t take Watt because he was taken 11th overall. Chargers would have much rather had Watt or Kerrigan but Luiget was the best value on the board at the time. Never will live up to either of those other players but less of a bust than Larry English and R-Mat

Hopefully Liuget will continue improving. To me, he really picked it up this year and if he continues improving he should be quite a force. Hoping they unleash Ingram too and make him like LT, just chase the QB…..

I remember the same thing Ernie Jr. I too was hoping that Watt would fall to us. Liegut ended up being a decent pick. Let’s just hope he keeps improving and doesn’t end up being another Casitillo!
