Yesterday, I tried to pump out that morning dump for everyone, but it just was not happening. Back again this lovely wet morning in San Diego. Stay dry and have fun on those freeways for hours! It is only a sprinkle, but we suck at driving!

What can you expect on Bolt Beat today?Probably a bunch more Senior Bowl stuff. Let’s see what the day brings us! I also have a day filled with meetings and plate full of work to get done, but I think that is everyday.

To the dump:

LOS ANGELES, Jan 23 (Reuters) – The family of former San Diego Chargers star Junior Seau, who killed himself last year, sued the National Football League on Wednesday, claiming that his suicide resulted from brain disease caused by repeated hits to the head during his football career.

Milus relocates to San Diego from Denver, where he spent the last two seasons coaching the Broncos’ secondary. The Broncos were one of the NFL’s best defensive units in 2012 as they led the NFL in allowing the fewest yards per pass play (6.4). Denver ranked second in the League in total defense last season and third against the pass as they won the AFC West title with a 13-3 record and earned the top seed in the AFC playoffs. Cornerback Chris Harris returned two of his three interceptions for touchdowns and veteran corner Champ Bailey was selected to the AFC Pro Bowl squad for the 12th time in his career.

The San Diego Chargers have added two more new faces to their coaching staff, the team announced Wednesday.

Chargers coach Mike McCoy has hired a former Broncos colleague, Ron Milus, as his secondary coach.

The Chargers also announced on Wednesday the hiring of strength and conditioning coach Kent Johnston, who held the same job with the Browns from 2010-12.

General Manager Tom Telesco has been a busy man down at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama.  In addition to evaluating top talent, Telesco is sitting down with each member of his scouting staff, getting to know them and using their insights to add to his vision for this team’s success. We caught up with him for an all-encompassing interview with topics ranging from the Senior Bowl to working with Head Coach Mike McCoy to what’s next on his agenda.

After a few hirings and firings, San Diego Chargers Head Coach Mike McCoy has finalize his coaching staff and can now turn his attention towards scouting free agents and college prospects. You can see the entire list here, or below.
