Dallas Cowboys Close To Hiring Rich Bisaccia

So what is the story behind Rich Bisaccia and the San Diego Chargers? I assumed that Rich wanted to be closer to home when he signed a contract to work at Auburn, but now it looks like he is close to getting out of that deal and working with the Dallas Cowboys, per Dallas News.

Bisaccia turned our once horrid special teams into a decent squad. He took a job at Auburn as their special teams coach after Norv Turner was fired. Why didn’t Coach Bisaccia want to stick around with the new era of Chargers football? He didn’t even wait around to see who were the candidates for the Chargers job, he just packed up his stuff and went on his merry way.

It looks like Jerry is hiring a bunch of former Tampa Bay coaches to attract Jon Gruden.

Good call… Kiffin and Bisaccia are already in place with Callahan. How long till Gruden takes that job

They picked up Rod Marinelli, as well.

I’d imagine that he’ll be offering to Gruden all offseason. Not sure what Gruden wants to do, but I’d imagine a veteran QB like Romo is pretty tempting.

Blocked punts almost cost Scifres his leg. We had no returns until Spurlock came back. Why was Parrish here again? He was just burnt about not getting a crack at HC… Which nobody offered him. Too bad for Auburn, if he takes the job. Talk about calling fire in a crowded theater.
