The San Diego Chargers are getting closer and closer to filling out that coaching staff. Today, the Chargers added Ron Milus as the secondary coach and Kent Johnson as the Strength and Conditioning coach.

Milus recently was fired from the Denver Broncos after his safety Rahim Moore looked like an idiot trying to cover Jacoby Jones in the playoff game. Moore had poor position on the play and grossly misplayed an under thrown ball. I guess it was Milus’ fault for Moore looking foolish on a play he should have made.

Despite that one play that Milus looks like the scapegoat on, Milus has led the Broncos to one of the best secondaries in the league and he also did a great job working with the Carolina Panthers. He will have some young corners that he will need to develop with Shareece Wright and Marcus Gilchrist. He will probably have to work with Antoine Cason also.

Kent Johnston spent a lot of time with Mike Holmgren. Johnston was with the Green Bay Packers during a couple of Super Bowl seasons and then followed Holmgren out to Seattle and Cleveland. The guy has been part of some winning teams.

Ron Milus was the sacrificial lamb in Denver, clearly Moore overplayed that coverage. Hopefully Cason, wright, and gilchrist can get some help and not look like moore of the same.
