San Diego Chargers Hire Kevin Spencer as ST Coach

Spencer has a Super Bowl ring with the Pittsburgh Steelers and he was the ST Coach of the year in 2003. When Ken Whisenhunt left the Steelers to become the head coach of the Cardinals, Spencer jumped ship with him. Spencer and Whisenhunt will team up on the San Diego sideline also.

In 2011, Spencer’s rookie punt returner Patrick Peterson returned 4 punts back for a score. Spencer has a nice track record and should do a good job in filling Rich Bisaccia’s shoes.
