The San Diego Chargers have now added Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden on the list of candidates that have interviewed for the head coaching vacancy. It’s not brother Jon, but he has that same blood in him.

Gruden joins Lovie Smith, Ken Whisenhunt and Gus Bradley as candidates that have interviewed for the job. Gruden has interviewed for the Arizona Cardinals and will interview with the Philadelphia Eagles and the Jacksonville Jaguars for their head coaching job also.

Gruden has been the offensive coordinator for the Bengals since 2011 and has helped AJ Green and Andy Dalton flourish.

Gruden has championships under his belt. He won Super Bowl XXXVII with Tampa Bay while working with his brother. He is a 6x ArenaBowl Champion. He has won four as a quarterback and two as a head coach.
