A new team has entered into the coaching sweepstakes. The Jacksonville Jaguars have fired Mike Mularkey today. The firing of Mularkey means that a quarter of the teams in the league will have new head coaches for 2013. That is a grip of firings.

The Jaguars have interest in San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator Greg Roman and the Chargers have interest also. The GMs of both teams, Chargers’ Tom Telesco and Jaguars’ Dave Caldwell, went to college with Roman and he will be high on each team’s priority list.

Welcome Jacksonville to the coaching hunt, but hopefully they don’t steal any of the coaches that we want.

I’m surprised he lasted this long

i was wondering why he didn’t get tossed on Black Monday. I guess they wanted the new GM to get his hands dirty as his first order of duty

they had to make it look good. but to be honest Mularkey was given a pile of manure and asked to make a sandwich.
