Jaguars To Hire Falcons’ Dave Caldwell As GM

The Jacksonville Jaguars have hired Falcons’ Dave Caldwell as their new GM, per his agent. Earlier today, the Arizona Cardinals promoted Steve Keim to be their GM. So two teams have now filled their GM vacancies today, can we make it 3? Can the Chargers promote their guy?

Scratch Caldwell off of the list for the San Diego vacancy. He seemed to lose steam during the Chargers search process anyway. The Chargers didn’t even seem to get around to interviewing him or maybe he didn’t even want to interview with the Bolts.

Caldwell will inherit the terrible roster of the Jaguars, but he will have an owner that is willing to spend money and a team that has room under the cap. I don’t know how he was able to sit in that interview process without staring at that MUSTACHE (see above), but he must have done it like a champ. He got the job!
