Chargers ST Coach Rich Bisaccia Leaving For Auburn

The rumor about Rich Bisaccia heading out to Auburn have become official today according to Michael Gehlken. The former Chargers Special Teams coach will take the same position with the Auburn Tigers and will also add the responsibility of running backs coach to his resume.

Bisaccia turned our awful special teams into a pretty decent squad. We did allow 3 blocked punts this season, but we didn’t allow a return for a score and did a solid job.

We will have to find a new special teams guy in town.

Wow. That’s too bad. The rebuilding keeps on building. Have you heard anything on the OL coach?

I doubt we keep Hal. We will probably have a whole new offensive staff. Maybe Joiner stays

Hal did the best with what he could get. He and his wife are going to be missed in our hood.

nobody to blame but Norv. he had a voice. but i did not know if he used it to scream for keeping VJ, Sproles, Tolbert, and drafting o-linemen above the 3rd round.

    Wow. That’s a bummer. He’s been great.

That sucks, I hope Joiner and Pagano stay though. I know this has nothing to do with the post but I was watching the edited down 15 minute NFL Replay of sunday’s game against the Raiders and I never realized Melvin Ingram’s short arms really do hinder him. He had Terrelle Pryor 3 separate times for sacks and he shouldhave taken Darren McFadden down for a 10 yard loss but all 4 times they were just beyond his reach and they ended up slipping away while Ingram was grasping at their Jerseys with his fingertips

I think that is more technique with his tackles. He doesn’t wrap up and wants to put a big hit. He will learn

      • JoseSD

He’s a beast when he’s on the field always disruptive in the pocket and backfield but he does get aggressive and overruns the play at time, I think he will get those sacks once he wraps up better. A sophomore season like Corey Liuget’s would be awesome

Most definitely. He should see more playing time too

This has me a little worried…..not just that fact that he wont be our ST coach, but the actual fact that he is deciding to leave. Maybe this team has more holes in it than us fans realize. If this team was only a few pieces away from contending, i cant see why he would want to leave, other than money. I cant imagine he would be making the same amount at Auburn. I could be wrong but its got me wondering…..maybe Norv was right in saying this team isnt that close

i think it had something to do with, Dean announcing that nobody, in house, would be considered for the HC gig.
