Chargers Interested in Penn State Head Coach Bill O'Brien

The San Diego Chargers are interested in Penn State Head Coach Bill O’Brien for the vacant head coaching position according to Jason LaCanfora. O’Brien was a member of the New England Patriots from 2007 to 2011 where he served as an offensive coordinator/QB Coach/WR Coach. He became the Head Coach at Penn State after all the madness and faired alright. He could be interested in making a move to the pros, but he makes a pretty penny with the school.

There are supposedly 4 other teams interested in O’Brien also. He would be asked to fix Philip Rivers if he was brought to town. He worked with Tom Brady in New England and would be expected to bring Rivers back to his glory days.

Former Pats coach. Did well at Penn State with a death penalty team. He’s got the pedigree but how many people leave New England and fizzle?
I worry on all the new coaches that we would need a real football organization in place for him to thrive.
