Andy Reid just met with the Chiefs for over 9 hours yesterday and he will be meeting with the Arizona Cardinals today or tomorrow. After that Cardinals trip, he has scheduled talks with San Diego for that head coaching vacancy, per Jason LaCanfora. Now things just got a little interesting.

The Chargers are supposedly looking to hire their GM first and then start their search for a head coach. The Chargers have only interviewed one candidate so far and that was Chargers Director of Player Personnel Jimmy Raye. Did Raye just knock the socks off of Ron Wolf and the Chargers brass? Will the Chargers even meet with other GM candidates?

Also, interesting that Ron Wolf is a big part of the process on hiring a head coach and GM. Ron’s biggest regret in Green Bay was passing over Andy Reid for a coaching job. Could Wolf be looking to bring Reid to San Diego now?

As you know by now, Reid would love to join the San Diego Chargers organization. He has a home in Southern California and probably would love to work with Philip Rivers. Let’s sit back and watch how this all plays out.

UPDATE: After his nine hour+ meeting, Reid looks close to a deal with the Chiefs.
