Bill O’Brien Will Stay At Penn State. Not Taking Anymore Interviews

November 24, 2012; University Park, PA, USA; Penn State Nittany Lions head coach Bill O

San Diego Chargers head coaching candidate Bill O’Brien has decided to stay at Penn State and will no long take anymore interviews for an NFL position, per Adam Caplan. You can scratch that name off of the wish list.

Here is the statement that O’Brien released to the Penn State fans:

“I’m not a one-and-done guy,” said O’Brien. “I made a commitment to these players at Penn State and that’s what I am going to do.

“I’m a man of my word. I am what I am. Maybe I get fired in six years. But I’m not gonna cut and run after one year, that’s for sure.” –

O’Brien had interviewed with the Browns and the Eagles before he decided to stay at Penn State. The Chargers were one of the teams that were interested, but we didn’t have to waste our time there. We still need to find a GM anyway.
