The Chicago Bears were the first team to put in an interview request for Indianapolis Colts Offensive Coordinator Bruce Arians, per Ian Rapaport. The Chargers are also interested in interviewing Arians for the head coaching vacancy, but still have to find the General Manager.

The Chargers need to work quickly to fill the GM position because the top head coaching candidates will be talking to all the other teams with vacancies. Andy Reid is close to a deal with the Chiefs, Arians has an interview setup with the Bears, Lovie Smith has an interview with the Bills already. Things are moving and dominoes are starting to fall. The Chargers can’t get caught behind all the action.

This guy helping the Spanos clan find a GM knows how it works. No need to hurry because Chicago cannot even interview Arians until after the Colts’ season is over. A lot of this is media hype. These guys will be out there still. Not to worry. They are interviewing with multiple teams.
