San Diego Chargers Searching For The Next GM. Ron Wolf Part of the Search Process

With the firing of AJ Smith, the San Diego Chargers are in search for the new personnel man. The Chargers have former Green Bay Packers GM Ron Wolf helping them make the right decision for the next GM.

Interesting that Wolf is going to be part of the decision making process. One of Wolf’s biggest regrets in Green Bay was not hiring Andy Reid to follow in the footsteps of Mike Holmgren as the head coach.

The Chargers said they will keep quiet on the GM and head coaching candidates. Jimmy Raye is expected to be a candidate for the job, but was not automatically given the position today. There are a few GMs that hit the streets today.

Let the games begin!

this is an easy one. in the search you look for someone with, no ego. does not alienate players, coaches, agents, even the media, because he dislikes them. understands how important it is protecting the $94 million QB with o-linemen drafted above the 4th round. and understanding the value of players, around your QB, even if you did not draft them in the 1st round. Or, allowing them to leave, thinking you can replace them with “groupoun” players.

Oh c’mon. We would have been happy if AJ had gone to Groupon instead of Cragslist. And the Q would still have plumbing!
