Beanie Wells Auditioning For 31 Other Teams

Arizona Cardinals RB Beanie Wells is auditioning for the rest of the league. Maybe GM Jimmy Raye (already making assumptions) will take a look at the former Ohio State back. Wells has had injury issues that has plagued him his whole career, but can be a strong back if he can stay on the field. Sounds a little too close to a running back that we already have on the roster.

The Cardinals can pick up the option on Wells for the 2013 season, but that seems unlikely. Wells knows that his time in Arizona is coming to an end and he is trying to showcase his skills for the rest of the league.

I love the idea of adding another back to pair with Ryan Mathews, but Beanie is not a fit. Mathews and Wells are too similar in their styles and their injury history. Wouldn’t want to have two backs sitting on the sideline with an injury.
