Antonio Gates Becomes Chargers All-Time Leader For TD Receptions

Shaun Phillips moved to second all time in sacks for he Chargers and now Antonio Gates moved to the top of the Chargers list for TD receptions passing Lance Alworth. The touchdown reception from Philip Rivers was the 82nd of his career.

Philip Rivers found Gates wide open in the middle of the field and he ran it in for the score. His teammates mauled him after the score. Gates should have a few more up of his sleeve before his career is done.

    Lance Alworth played in 14 game seasons. Gates could not carry Alworth’s lunch bucket. Lance was and still is the greatest Chargers player. I watched him make the most incredible catches; most thrown by John Hadl. Those were the Chargers that kicked every teams ASS. When another team played my Chargers they knew it was a war. There is no comparison – none!
