Take Stanford head coach David Shaw off of the list of candidates for the new head coaching job in San Diego. Shaw was given a long term contract extension today to stay at Stanford. He was one of the hot prospects for NFL head coaching candidates this offseason. He is from San Diego and has experience in the NFL. He would have been a great coach to bring on for the Chargers or any other team that will be searching this offseason. He has only held the head coaching job at Stanford for a couple of seasons, but has had great success with the program. He worked under Jim Harbaugh while he was the head coach at Stanford. Congrats to David Shaw. Sucks for us.
