Rookie Brandon Taylor Will Play A Lot in Final Two Games

Time to take a long look at the rookie safety Brandon Taylor over the final 2 games. Norv Turner says that the rookie will get a lot of playing time in the final games. Corey Lynch has gotten a bulk of the work since Atari Bigby went down with an injury. Taylor is expected to be the safety of the future for the team, so this will be the glimpse of what the Chargers will be doing next season.

Time for the team to start thinking about the future. Happy that Norv is able to make the right decision and try to develop these guys for next season.

isn’t that the point of backups’? yeah he’s a rookie, i get that. but the chargers drafted him, ready or not “it’s next man up”. time for the kid to step up an play.

  • Saul Lopez

I’m excited about this kid. Hope he doesn’t let us down.

    • Ernie Padaon

I’m sure he will make some mistakes. But think he should be able to do well. Just stay aggressive

Ingram (despite not being given enough playing time IMO) hasn’t been the beast we hoped he would be. I kinda get the SLIGHTEST bit of buyers remorse when I look at what Mercilus is doing for the Texans. I still believe Ingram can be an impact player, and have a breakout 2nd year. So, I’m not giving up on him yet. However, it would be nice to see if Taylor is a successful draft pick… Or, to see if he has potential, at least. Strong Safety has been such a tough position for us to fill. Reyes seems to have worked out. As for Ladarius Green… I’m still wondering if he is a keeper, or not.
