Norv Turner Isn’t Ruling Out Taking An Offensive Coordinator Job

San Diego Chargers head coach Norv Turner is already talking about his future coaching possibilities after the season. He has not ruled out becoming an offensive coordinator for some club after he gets dismissed as the Chargers head guy.

When asked if becoming an offensive coordinator would appeal to him, Turner says he would want to be in “a place where you have an opportunity to win and be in a situation that there are coaches I’ve worked with and been around.”

Chargers beat reporter Kevin Acee is under the assumption that his new location will not be in the Big Apple. Baltimore looks like it could be a good possibility for him since they cut ties with Cam Cameron. There should be plenty of interest in him around the league for his offensive play calling abilities.

My bet is Dallas. He has a good relationship with Coach Garrett & Jerry Jones.

I thought about that too. People must love him out there still too

With Norv as their O Coordinator and weapons like Dez Bryant, Miles Austin & Jason Witten. That O could be scary.

If Norv only focuses on offense, he should be able to make someone’s offense really good

Even though Rivers and Norv have chemistry, they should just cut ties with him and AJ and start over. Rebuild the O-line(except C and RG), trade Mathews for a 2nd. round pick. Cut Clary, maybe Gaither(still good for depth), draft a CB and keep Cason, Get some LB depth, a true #1 WR, draft Rivers replacement. I know all of this can’t be done in one off-season, but it’ll probably take 2 or 3 more years before the Chargers are contenders again. If buy some magical way all the OT worth taking are gone, and the CB’s and WR’s. They could draft OG Warmack to replace Green.
