Ryan Mathews has Surgery on Broken Clavicle

Ryan Mathews has surgery on his broken clavicle today. He knows the drill on this thing. It should take 4 to 6 weeks to recover, but he will have a long offseason to rest those clavicles.

The team needs him to stay healthy, but he hasn’t shown that durability in the past. The team will have to find another backup running back at the end of the year. Ronnie Brown could make another return to the team, but it will depend on who is calling the shots.

Ryan has shown that he can make thing happen when he gets the ball. He even has cut down on the fumbles, but the injury bug still is lingering around. We will need to find a backup that can handle a large load of the offense for when he gets injured. So basically, we would need to find another starter.
