Philip Rivers Letting the Smack Talk Fly Again

Wasn’t it nice to see that cocky smack talking quarterback again over the weekend? It has felt so long since we had seen him with that little swagger. We have mostly seen him shaking his head at his offensive line or seen frustration on his face. This time he was talking smack and it was against those Pittsburgh Steelers. They have been a team that has had our number in the past, but this time we had the upper hand.

You know things are going well when Philip is getting riled up and getting into the heads of the defenders. We need to see him having fun like that again. Next season, he can be the most hated person in the league for all his smack talk, because that means we are pounding on some teams. Smack talk can always be backed up by the scoreboard. Philip hasn’t been on top in the scoreboard enough to let his lips smack.

For the final few games of the season, we could see him talking and talking a bit more though. He gets to face one of the Chargers former coaches this weekend and follows that up by facing Rex Ryan, then we end the season against the rival Raiders. There should be plenty to talk about in those games, but we better have the scoreboard argument on our side.
