Not Believing Till We See It

Of course Dean Spanos had to deny the rumors. Of course he had to say that he has not told anyone. That is what happens when someone opens up their fat mouths about firing the head coach and the GM. That stuff should have never gotten out, but now they have to play damage control.

“There is only one person in this organization who will make those decisions and that’s me, and I haven’t shared my thoughts with anyone. I will make my evaluations at the end of the season. Anything coming out now – from sources or otherwise – is pure speculation.”

Speculation, but it would be more news if Norv didn’t get fired at the end of the season. It still was under question if Dean would have kept AJ around, but either decision would not have been surprising. If Acee said that Norv would be around next season, then we might have burned down Qualcomm. (Thought: if Qualcomm mysteriously burns down, would we build a new stadium or would they just move out of town?)

In the end, it still is Dean that makes the choice and the move still has not been made. We all know that Dean can make a stupid decision or two. Last season, we all believed that Norv was surely gone, but we were left with the same mess this season. Nobody will believe it till we see it.
