not yet . its not like our O line would protect a QB anyway. keep rivers build a line and at the same time groom a QB . when rivers proves he is washed with a O line then next man up.

  • JoshRogen

next year try to build an O-line, but bring in a mobile QB, they should also send rivers a clear message by benching him the rest of the season. the chargers are now in a 10 team battle for the first pick in the 2013 draft. they need some help but could still end up with the worse record.

I like it. Give me that number 1 spot!

He is done; does it take two bad years to figure out he has his best years behind him. Depending on who manages or coaches the team we need new leadership at QB. If the 2013 season is a rebuilding one then go for a QB in the first round and take as many O Line players as you can in the following rounds. If A. J. Smith is still around in the GM position then he will find a way to pick the worst first round selection in the entire draft. Don’t look for the Bolts to be back in contention for years to come. if at all.

Everyone needs to calm down on PR17. We all know his problems are due to that crap of an O-Line. Rivers is here to stay and we all know it.

  • tiiiiiiiiiiit11

No, but get another talented QB behind him so that Rivers is threaten to be benched if he goes into his strides of terrible decision making.

Only replace him if there is an opportunity to grab a RGIII-like player, if one ever comes along again

i know your running a blog Ernie, but don’t ask this question again. Not for another 4 years.

    • Ernie Padaon

Ha… Do you see how many people voted yes? That’s the part that is more surprising

      • arnie

yup. but that’s human nature. everybody blames the person with the spotlight. nobody wants to “examine why”.

        • Ernie Padaon

We get this line fixed and he will be better. Much better. Still can see him making some poor decisions with a good line.

          • arnie

Every Qb makes poor decisions. There’s a difference when you “put” the QB in a “position” to win a game. Or “depend “on a Qb to win. When you lose your top WR, 3rd down conversion specialist, MVP RB, your pro bowl TE is blanketed, your O-Line is crap, and and your HC is incapable of helping. that’s a bit much to ask any QB to overcome.

Way too early. Besides the o line being decimated, it appears that VJ was more important to Rivers’ success. VJ always got Rivers out of a jam. Rivers does not have a reliable target now.
