Chargers Sign Schilling and Baxter; Ajirotutu and Molk to IR

Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports

The Chargers added a couple of offensive lineman with the signing of Stephen Schilling and Colin Baxter. Baxter can play the guard and center positions, while Schilling can play tackle and guard. Schilling may be thrown into the starting lineup immediately with the injuries to Mike Harris and Jeromey Clary.

In order to make room for the two lineman, the Chargers placed Seyi Ajirotutu and David Molk onto the IR list. Ajirotutu made his return with the Chargers this year and did a nice job as the third receiver. He moved up the depth chart over Eddie Royal and Robert Meachem. It will be nice to see him competing for a roster spot again next season.
