U-T San Diego reports Chargers starting safety Atari Bigby will miss 3-5 weeks with a groin injury he suffered Sunday. There are five weeks left in the season. Rookie Brandon Taylor is expected to play a lot during this time. This is a great opportunity for a player the Chargers hope becomes a starter soon.

SAN DIEGO (AP) — The San Diego Chargers placed strong safety Atari Bigby on season-ending injured reserve Tuesday because of a groin injury and signed linebacker Bront Bird.

Our Chargers blog, Bolts From The Blue, does approval ratings for their GM and head coach like we do with the KC Chiefs’ Romeo Crennel and Scott Pioli. Both sets of approval ratings have similarities because neither Chargers nor Chiefs fans are happy with their current leadership.

Barring an unexpected box-office binge or help from corporate sponsors, this will the second blackout in as many weeks and third of the season. It’ll be the Chargers eighth in their past 22 home games since 2010, including eighth in their past 16 that weren’t broadcast in prime-time.

Funny, after trolling through the morning dump, the article that stands out the most is Scott Pioli. If your going to hate somebody, hate him because he didn’t solve the QB problem their, and he wifed on the wrong HC. lets’ make a deal. We’ll take Scott as our GM and Dwayne Bowe. An the Chief fans can spend the next ten years, realizing Pioli wasn’t the problem.
