Eric Weddle Knocked Out of Game With Concussion

On that stupid 4th and 29 play that we were unable to stop, we lost the game and we lost our top defensive player, Eric Weddle, on the play. Weddle suffered a concussion on the play and did not return for the rest of the game. He couldn’t remember what happened on the play after the game, but he did say that he was alright. He will have to pass concussion tests in order to get back onto the field. He should take as much time he needs to rest before he gets back on the field. The season is lost anyway, so there is no need to rush.

Donald Butler also left the game with an injury. At one point, Andrew Gachkar was getting snaps in the middle linebacker position. Atari Bigby left the game early with an injury also and Corey Lynch had to finish out the game in the secondary. At the end of the game, both safeties in the secondary had reserve players in the lineup.

We took a beating in the injury department and we still didn’t come it with the victory!

injuries are never good Ernie. the positive side of all this is, changes are going to be made. if you look close, they have already started. the chargers need to pay closer attention to WHY they have so many injuries. And WHY, they have to continually reach into FA instead of the back-up players they have on roster.

Eric Weddle has the heart of a warrior. I like to see him play every time, except of punt returns!
