Jared Gaither Placed on IR

Welp.. That was a waste of a season from the big man. Lets just put Philip Rivers on IR now too.

Mike Harris… Yay!!!

This is going to be a disaster for Philip Rivers and the offense. That left side of the line has been terrible and has been the main reason for the Bolts struggles. Let’s see if Gaither will play next season for the team.

I guess the Chargers at least have a youngster to develop at tackle. Why don’t they have one developing at QB?

i can only see this as another strike against AJ. i assume he’s looking for another FA now.

    Hey Veazy
The Bolts had a replacement for Rivers in Jarret Lee, but A. J. cut him to make way for some loser who is now on injured reserve, or has been cut.

If Jarret Lee was that good, why is he still a free agent? The Chargers were the only team to bring in and let him play in the pre-season.

I’m glad that they placed Jared on IR, it’s been a distraction all year but what I don’t like it the Rivers bashing and a lot of them calling for his head. I know he hasn’t played well this season and has made some dumb mistakes but let’s be honest, how many quarterbacks in the NFL are available with the experience and ability better or at least at the level of Rivers? How many Andrew Lucks are available in the draft? Can AJ Smith bring a top notch QB free agent? That’s right! There aren’t that many! The Chargers have a quarterback and he needs the proper tools to perform, right now, a good offensive line has to be AJ Smith’s priority besides a good HC which can be brought from the NFL ranks and college.

Now, with that in mind, I still would like to see a change at management, for example, bring in Bill Polian to replace AJ Smith, I think that would make the difference the teams needs. He has proven to be a good GM and bring in the right guys, and with a year off, I would believe he’s itching to get back at the game. I officially start the Bill Polian campaign to replace AJ Smith, what do you think?

By the way, I’m a big Mike Harris fan even though he has made a lot of mistakes but has a big heart, courage and desire to be better each time, that’s the key for success in the NFL (in anything for that matter). I hope that he develops and anchors the LT for years to come. Go Mike Harris!
