How Many More Wins Do The Chargers Have in Them?

20121117-095823.jpg

The last stretch of games was where we were supposed to pile on some wins. We were supposed to get wins against the Browns and Bucs, but we know how those games ended. If we won the games we were supposed to win, we would at least be sitting with a 6-3 record right now going into a game against the Broncos.

Now look at the stretch of games that we have coming up. We have the Broncos this weekend in a huge AFC west matchup. After Sunday, we have games against the Ravens, Steelers, Bengals, Panthers, Jets and Raiders.

We are SUPPOSED to win the games against the Panthers, Jets and Raiders. Those are three wins that we SHOULD get. Winning those games will give us at least 7 wins on the season. The Steelers could be without Big Ben and that should be a win also. That gives us 8 wins.

We would then have to actually beat some teams that we shouldn’t. We would actually have to beat someone. We would actually have to beat a team like the Bengals, Broncos or Ravens. If somehow we are able to steal a couple of those games, we would end up in the playoffs.

There is a lot of SHOULD win games on that schedule though and we have not even proven that we can do that correctly. We haven’t proven that we can beat anyone other than the Kansas City Chiefs. So, who knows where we will be. For the optimists, there definitely is some hope that we can make a final stretch run that we always seem to make. In the last couple of seasons though, we lost a huge game in the middle of that final stretch run to take us out of contention.

What will the story be this season?

We have to beat Peyton to give ourselves a chance.

        yes we do.

Might as well. This team isn’t going anywhere. Hopefully, we’ll finally dump Norv and AJ. Too bad we can’t do anything about the Spanos’s now that all the male members of the Spanos clan are working for the team. I guess all we can hope for is that the Spanos’s get there act together like the Irsay family finally did. Rob Irsay, the father of current owner of the Indianapolis Colts, was the laughingstock of the NFL.

What do you mean “we have to beat Peyton to give ourselves a chance” ?
He already nailed us twice; this season is basically lost. Like that one poster said the chargers are a joke. Do not look for a great turn around next season as long as Dean Spanos is guiding the Chargers down the road. They might have a good game out of the next six, but look for them to be embarrassed by weaker teams.
