Why do we care about the Pittsburgh Steelers and their signal caller when it is Philip Rivers that seems like he is throwing with an unusual shoulder injury?
The Steelers are ahead of us in the playoff race… yea, I said playoffs! THE PLAYOFFS – the reason we look forward to these games. In order to make it into the playoffs, we will need to catch the Steelers and Colts for a wild card spot or we catch up to the Broncos for the AFC West spot. We have to get on a tear and start winning games, but that is a different story.
We don’t look anywhere near a playoff football team right now, but as long as we are still in the race, I will be screaming my guts out rooting for this team to win and win and win. This weekend I am hoping we put that stupid Peyton Manning in the dirt over and over again with our terrible pass rush.
Anyway, Ben Roethlisberger went down in the Monday Night game against the Chiefs and hurt his shoulder. He is going in for a 2nd MRI this morning after waking up sore. It is being called an “unusual shoulder separation” and he is expected to miss a few weeks and the Steelers are prepping for the worse.
Withing the next few weeks, the Steelers will have to play the Ravens twice with a game against the Browns sandwiched in between. If Ben has to miss any more time, the next game will be against our San Diego Chargers and that could be a tie-breaker game for a playoff spot.
